Join us live for a reading with up and coming Palestinian writer Rashed A.
Rashed will share with us the first reading from an essay he wrote as a resident at Dar Jacir. The essay is based on his first time returning to Palestine. It is part memoir and part critique on the mythologies of return. Follow our page for the watch party link and viewing details.
This event is part of Dar Jacir’s online programming being organized in response to these difficult times, bringing together our family of artists, writers, musicians, filmmakers and dancers to lead programs as a way to to remain connected while we are physically separated.
Rashed A. is a Palestinian-Jordanian writer living in London. He’s been published in The Cardiff Review and Smith Journal. He is the co-founder of LIFTA, a studio and small press based between Mexico City and the Middle East. Rashed was an artist-in-residence at Dar Jacir in the Fall of 2019.
